There are currently 3 smartphones in the series called the Xperia X Performance, Xperia X and the Xperia XA.

Sony has launched the new series and there is a possibility that it may be replacing the Z series with the X series which was their current flagship series. The X series has a metal and glass built as opposed to the glass front and back on the Z series. The phones have a metallic back and a glass front which is curved at the edges. The Xperia X Performance is the high-end device in the series and sports a Snapdragon 820 chipset along with 3GB of RAM on board.
