Lenovo Set to Announce a "Gorgeous" New Metallic Phone at MWC 2016

Mobile World Congress is to mobile phones what say an Auto Expo is to the automobile industry. It is basically a showcase event where most of the brands that are in the manufacturing of mobile phones showcase their latest and greatest work. This year especially, the MWC promises to be a real fun ride with Samsung, LG and Xiaomi all set to announce their latest flagship products. All the three launches are expected on 21st of February where the Galaxy S7, LG G5 and the Mi5 will all be unveiled.

While Lenovo does not have a flagship launch planned at Barcelona, they definitely are announcing a new phone in the razzmatazz of MWC. Lenovo India Twitter handle has teased a new device a couple of times already on their timeline as they prepare for a new launch. It is clear from the images shared on Social Media that the phone would be a metallic device and feature a Dual Speaker configuration at the back powered by Dolby Atmos. The rear of the phone is actually similar to the Lemon 3, which was announced recently, pointing towards the device being a larger version of the same and be called the Lenovo Lemon 3 Plus.

Worth noting is that the Lemon name of the series has been largely kept to China alone and Lenovo when bringing the phone to foreign markets like India, has changed the name. The K3 Lemon, for instance, was called the A6000 in India and other international markets. The specifications of the phone are not clear so far though it is rumored to be featuring a 5.5 inch Full HD display, 3 GB RAM and Snapdragon 616 as the chipset. The phone is very similar to the likes of Hono 5X, and would be expected to be priced in the similar range. Everything will be clear when the phone is announced in the coming week at MWC, which begins from February 22nd and runs to February 25th.
