Motorola India no more a Flipkart Exclusive

Buying a Motorola smartphone in India has required buying it from e-commerce retailer Flipkart but Motorola has announced that it is expanding this reach. The company’s exclusive deal with Flipkart has ended and now Motorola devices can be purchased from selected Airtel stores alongside e-commerce giants Snapdeal and Amazon.

Android-powered Blackberry Priv (Venice) is Official

The much awaited smartphone, Blackberry Priv (previously known as Venice) is official as the company has announced that the phone is coming by the end of the year. “Priv combines the best of BlackBerry security and productivity with the expansive mobile application ecosystem available on the Android platform,” said BlackBerry’s CEO John Chen. The device promises “best in class security for enterprise customers,” as part of the company’s “heritage and core mission of protecting our customers’ privacy.”

Nexus 6P Specs Leaked

A cache of leaked slides on the Huawei-made Nexus 6P tell us a few more interesting details about the Nexus 6P phablet. The slides show us a rear-mounted fingerprint reader, an 2560 x 1440 display, a Snapdragon 810 processor, massive 3450 mAh battery and USB-C. It will feature a “metal unibody” design and Gorilla Glass 4 screen. As earlier reported, it will come in four colors — black, white, silver, and gold.

Toshiba’s new Refreshed Chromebook 2

The 2015 refresh includes the option of a Celeron, Core i3, or Core i5 chip, all based on the Intel 5th-gen “Broadwell” architecture. All configurations will offer 1080p 13.3-inch IPS displays and come with up to 4GB RAM, though the i3 and i5 variants have the distinction of offering up an LED backlit keyboard. The refreshed Chromebook 2 series includes USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI output, an SD card reader, 802.11 ac WiFi, front-facing stereo speakers, and dual-array microphones. All these features are found in a design that weighs just a little shy of 3 pounds.

Pebble Time Round is Here

Pebble has launched its first circular smartwatch to take on rivals Apple and Google in the wearables market. Pebble Time Round, is available in two band sizes and the watchmaker has claimed it is sleeker, thinner and lighter considering its 7.5mm thin and weighs just 28 grams. Pebble Time Round comes with a variety of options including leather straps and metal bands in gold or black. The smartwatch has been priced at $249 (Rs 16,000) and can go up to $299(Rs. 19,000).
