Motorola Moto G 3rd Generation Launched at Rs. 11,999

After months of rumors, leaks and waiting the new line of Moto products is here. The “XGX” on the invitations is finally making some sense. As speculated, the 3rd Generation Moto G has been unveiled today along with Moto X Style and Moto X Play. Contrary to last year, and the year before, Motorola has decided to introduce not one, but two versions of the Moto X. Moto G 3rd Generation is what we are taking a look at here.

The cheapest of the phones introduced today, Moto G 3rd Generation, is, like its predecessor, a low-range smartphone. Moto G 2015 features a 5-inch display with 720p resolution (294ppi) powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC clocked at 1.4GHz, coupled with 1GB or 2GB of RAM. The two variants are with 8GB and 16GB storage options, both expandable via microSD card (8GB of internal storage for the 1GB of RAM variant, and 16GB of internal storage for the 2GB of RAM version). Motorola has stressed the market leading camera of Moto G. Moto G will bring 13MP rear camera with a 5MP front shooter. The device is powered by  a 2,470mAh battery with quick charging. This year, all Moto G variants will have LTE capabilities. Special proprietary software features include Moto Display, Quick Capture, and Chop Twice.

As usual, Motorola has done a great job with the design, giving the phone high-end look. Also, as speculated, we have Moto Maker for Moto G as well. Moto Maker allows users to customize the accent, color, back panel texture of the smartphone. The phone looks trendy with its Nexus 6 like design. I was really happy to see that the ring flash is gone.

Moto G will be available today in 50+ countries. But if you’re in India, the Moto G 2015 can be yours starting midnight exclusively from Flipkart. The 1GB of RAM and 8GB of ROM model will go for Rs. 11,999 ($187), and the 2GB RAM with 16GB ROM model for Rs. 12,999 ($216).
