Asus Introduces ZenFone Selfie, ZenPad and ZenWatch 2

The Computex 2015 brought us everything we expected from Asus. Taiwanese multinational computer hardware and electronics company, Asus, on Tuesday, launched the new Asus ZenFone Selfie, four new Asus ZenPads and the ZenWatch 2.

Asus ZenFone Selfie

To do justice with the name, the Asus ZenFone Selfie features some of the best cameras in the market. The smartphone features two 13mgapixel cameras. Not just that, the phone is powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor coupled with 2 to 3 GB of RAM. Zenfone Selfie’s dimensions are 156.5 x 77.2 x 10.8 (WxDxH) and it weighs 170 g. Of course, the biggest feature of the Zenfone Selfie is the front camera. The front camera is 13 megapixels with Auto Focus and Wide View and rear camera is also a 13 megapixel one. The front camera also has a flash and Asus has launched this phone keeping in mind selfie-addicts. The phone will be available in 16 GB and 32 GB variants with a microSD card slot. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop. It comes in the following colours: pure White, Pink, Blue, Gray, Gold and Red. The price and availability of the Zenfone Selfie have not yet been announced.

Asus ZenPad

Asus at Computex 2015 has unveiled a range of tablets in its new ZenPad series. Unfortunately, Asus for now has not provided pricing or availability about the new tablets. The company at the event also launched the ZenFone Selfie and theZenWatch 2. The new tablets include the 7-inch ZenPad 7.0 (Z370C/CG/CL), the 7-inch ZenPad C 7.0 (Z170C/CL), the 8-inch ZenPad 8.0 (Z380C/KL), ZenPad S 8.0 (Z580C/CA) with optional (Z Stylus, and the 10-inch ZenPad 10 (Z300C/CG/CL) with an optional keyboard. All tablets come in Wi-Fi and LTE/3G connectivity variants, with some also featuring voice calling support. All the Asus ZenPad tablets come with the IPS display technology coupled with Asus Tru2Life and TruVivid image processing. The tables also feature DTS Premium Sound and DTS Sound Studio, and run Android 5.0 Lollipop skinned with Asus Zen UI. The ZenPad 8.0 is claimed by the company to be the first tablet to feature an interchangeable cover design that lets users customise with functional back covers, including the Zen Clutch carrying and protection case; the Zen Case which features a leather texture and choice of five colours; the Audio Cover for 5.1-channel surround sound, and the Power Case, which extends the battery life to up to 15 hours.

Asus ZenWatch 2

ASUS today announced the ZenWatch 2, a personalized wearable device powered by Android Wear. The ZenWatch 2 builds upon the original ZenWatch, offering an even more refined design, an improved user experience, and the introduction of completely new functionality. ZenWatch 2 now includes a metal watch crown, and a magnetic charger that dramatically improves battery recharge times. The ASUS ZenWatch 2 features a durable stainless-steel case available in two colors, Gunmetal Silver and Rose Gold, with a metal crown adorning the case. The watch crystal is designed with a gentle curve and is made from tough Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection against scratches and damage. The smartwatch is available with a wide-range of straps in various colors of rubber, leather and steel link. ASUS has also partnered with Swarovski Professional to produce a leather strap with an embossed diamond pattern accented with Swarovski crystals.

Though we are not aware of the price and availability of these devices as yet, we are can expect them in stores soon.
