Moto G (3rd Gen) leaked and spotted on Flipkart

Motorola’s original Moto G was announced in November 2013, followed by it’s successor, the Moto G (2nd Gen), in September 2014. Both of these devices were exclusively available on Flipkart and saw a huge success. But, what’s more interesting is, Flipkart has accidentally listed the 3rd Generation of Moto G on their website. The device was listed during the time of writing the article, but the sad part is that it didn’t carry any additional information such as the release date specifications or the price of the device.

Flipkart listed a white coloured Moto G (3rd Gen) with 8GB of internal storage with the Model ID – AP3560AD1K8. It’s really surprising that Motorola will be offering the same internal storage, that is, 8GB in their next device just like Moto G (2nd Gen). We are not expecting much of a performance bump on the device considering the price as well as what Motorola did with the 2nd Gen device.

We are not expecting that Motorola will bump up the specs of the 3rd Gen Moto G by a mile, but we do expect the device to pack the more powerful Snapdragon 410 or Snapdragon 615 (more likely, watching the recent trend) along with 2GB of RAM. The device will be running on a near-stock version of Lollipop 5.1. We are not expecting any change in the screen size or resolution, that is 5 inch 720p display. The biggest complaint with the Moto G devices was the camera, and we do expect that Motorola will put up a better camera module on the 3rd Gen device. The battery life of the current 2nd Gen device is just average, thanks to its 2070 mAh battery. We expect Motorola to pack a bigger 2300 mAh battery this time with the 3rd iteration of its most popular device.

It’s hard to give a word about the launch of the device, but we can expect the device to be announced in the Q3. The pricing is still a mystery, although we do not expect it to change by a mile. It will still be staying in the ₹10,000 to ₹15,000 segment, and might as well become the leader.

The other way of looking it can be that Flipkart might be preparing for the launch of the device with dummy specifications.
