Huawei Launches the Honor 4C and the Honor Bee

Huawei successfully launched its Honor series of smartphones in India through an exclusive partnership with Flipkart last year. The emerging Chinese smartphone manufacturer is all set to release two more budget friendly smartphones, the Honor 4C and the Honor Bee.

Both the smartphones have been listed on and they are priced around Rs. 8,999 and Rs. 4,999 respectively. Honor 4C and Honor Bee will both run Android Lollipop and will be powered by Huawei’s proprietary “Kirin” processors. The Honor 4C will have 2GB of RAM, 13 MP camera and will be powered by a 1.2 GHz Octa Core processor. The Honor Bee on the other hand will have 1GB of RAM, 8MP camera and will house a 1.2 GHz Quad Core processor.

The competition for these phones at this price point will range from the

Lenovo A6000 right up to the Moto G 2nd Gen. While Huawei was a big name in the telecom industry it was relatively unheard of in the consumer market, especially in India. Despite this Huawei’s initial entry in the Indian market was successful, this can be credited to the strategy employed by them. Huawei entered the market through an exclusive partnership with, thereby leveraging the trust consumers had in the Indian e-commerce giant. They also saved on direct marketing cost as Flipkart promoted them and shared those costs. Besides using this entry strategy, the Honor series was priced aggressively and was feature rich appealing to the price conscious Indian consumer.

Just as the Honor 6 Plus and Honor 4X we can expect Huawei to continue their successful entry in the Indian market with the Honor 4C and the Honor Bee.
