Samsung Galaxy A7 with 64-bit SoC and 2GB RAM Launched in India: Price and Specifications

The metal-clad smartphone, launched globally last month is now available in India. The Samsung Galaxy A7 is Samsung’s premium build offering, priced at ₹30,499 and available on Samsung India website. The phone looks pretty decent and premium.

Samsung Galaxy A7 is a GSM capable smartphone which runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat with Samsung’s infamous TouchWiz. The smartphone is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 615) 64-bit processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The phone features a 5.f inch FullHD(1080×1920 pixels) SuperAMOLED display. Samsung Galaxy A7 comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 64GB). It sports an 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, in addition Samsung Galaxy A7 has a secondary 5-megapixel front-facing camera on-board as well. The rear camera supports full-HD video recording and comes with Panorama, HDR mode, face detection, smile shot and voice capture options.


The Galaxy A7 also flaunts and ‘Ultra Wide Shot’ and ‘Auto Selfie’ modes for its front-facing camera. The smartphone packs a 2600mAh non-removable battery. It measures 151.00 x 76.20 x 6.30, weighs 141 grams, and is listed in Gold, Black and White colour. It is worth noting that the Samsung Galaxy A7 is Samsung’s slimmest offering ever. It packs number of sensors such as accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer, and proximity sensor. On the connectivity front, the Samsung Galaxy A7 offers 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, 4G LTE Cat. 4, USB 2.0, GPS, AGPS, GLONASS, and NFC options.


Like all premium Samsung Phones, Samsung Galaxy A7 offers Ultra Power Saving Mode, Private Mode, Multi-Screen and Quick Connect to the users. The phone is Samsung’s first attempt to start making things right with the smartphone department, and so far they seem going well. Besides the lacking TouchWiz UI, Samsung has rectified almost all the problems with Samsung Galaxy A7. The phone is also available with Samsung’s native Exynos processor variant outside India.
