Affordable 4G LTE Smartphones in India priced less than Rs. 10,000

This year at International Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2015) we saw 5G enabled Wi-Fi chipsets and SoCs, so we can expect some gadgets with lightening fast internet possibilities this year. But we will have to agree to the fact that India is way behind the rest of the world when it comes to technology innovations. So, when the world around us will be seeing more of 5G enabled devices, we will be struggling with 4G. Keeping this in mind, here are a few affordable devices which are available in India for a price tag of less than Rs. 10,000.

1. Nokia Lumia 638

Last month Nokia quietly announced their first LTE enabled device for India, Nokia Lumia 638 which runs Windows 8.1 on the Operating System front. The 4.5-inch FWVGA display (854×480 pixels) might not be able to satisfy you if you intend to buy a phone for multimedia purposes also. Windows Phone don’t generally come up with best graphic performances, hence, this phone comes with a decent 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor inside. Launched on January 16 in India, this device is the best deal one can get currently. Comes with a 64-bit powered 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 processor, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. It will be very interesting to watch how the device will perform in comparison to the other LTE options with user. The Lenovo A6000 sports a 5-inch LCD display with resolution of 720p. Talking about the camera, it comes with a 8 megapixels rear camera and a 2 megapixels front facing camera. To source your smartphone, Lenovo has provided a 2,300mAh battery which seems as a decent option in this price segment. Lenovo A6000 is still not available for sale in India, but will be available on 28 January at a price of Rs. 6,999 on Flipkart.

3. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G

This device is for the people who love using a phone with a large display, which packs good hardware and performs good enough to carry their day-to-day tasks. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G comes with a huge 5.5-inch IPS HD display with 720p screen, which seemed to be not that great and would not be sufficient to suffice your multimedia needs. But as far as performance is concerned, this device deserves a thumbs up for its 2GB RAM, 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor and Adreno 305 GPU. The Redmi Note 4G variant comes with 13 megapixels of rear camera and 5 megapixels front capturing camera.

4. YU Yureka

Well, here you go Cyanogen lover! This is probably the best performer in this list of four smartphones one can get under Rs. 10,000. Comes with a screen size similar to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G, that is, 5.5-inches HD IPS display this smartphone is based on the Cyanogen Operating System and might not offer you the stock Android experience, in case you are looking forward to it. The best features about the smartphone include the endless customizations, ability to play with the phone and not voiding the warranty and the 64-bit Snapdragon octa-core processor. The Yureka is backed with 2GB of RAM and comes with a camera of 13 megapixels (rear) and 5 megapixels (rear). Priced at Rs. 8,999 Yureka is being sold through flash sales on Amazon.in.
