Sony not to charge any fee in order to play Pre-Owned Games on the PS4‏

So here is something that is definitely going to cheer up a hell lot of gamers. While Microsoft has chosen the “road not taken ” by levying  activation fee on pre-owned Xbox One games, Sony has stuck to the more favorable and the good old tradition of not levying any such fee.

This confirmation came when Kotaku approached Sony and asked the question about this topic. Sony’s reply then pointed them towards the statement made by Sony studio chief Shuhei Yoshida back in February.

“At a round table this morning, Sony’s game studios chief, Shuhei Yoshida, told reporters that any requirement for users to register a game online in order to play it would be left to game publishers. Sony won’t require that.”

Not only the decision of Microsoft’s to impose the fee has failed to create the required desire among the hearts of gamers for the Xbox One but it is also going to be the reason, we believe, why many gamers will choose the PlayStation4 over the Xbox One.

We would also like to point out that on the launch event, Microsoft had emphasized more on the Xbox One’s TV Capabilities and on the other hand Sony’s ideology is more inclined towards pure gaming. But this doesn’t mean at all that Sony is going to be left behind in this department because the Company is yet to reveal the PlayStation4’s other non-gaming capabilities.
