Samsung Galaxy S4 set to hit 10 million sales

The fourth iteration of Samsung’s flagship handset is set to hit 10 million sales by next week, the Korean electronics company reports.

“We are confident that we will pass more than 10 million sales of the S4 next week,” Samsung CEO Shin Jong-kyun told reports on Thursday.

The immensely powerful S4 boasts a massive 1080p display, two quad-core chips pushing clock speeds of 1.9GHz, 2GB of RAM, and up to 64GB of internal storage.

The proposed figures would make the S4 Samsung’s most popular phone. Its predecessor, the Galaxy S3, took six weeks to hit the 10 million mile-stone.

Comparatively, Apple’s iPhone 5 managed over 5 million sales just three days after release.

The Korean tech giant’s latest mobile has come under fire recently however, because only 8GB of space is free on the 16GB model due to the huge size of the OS and built-in software.

How do you feel about the S4? Is it the best phone on the market today? Leave your thoughts in the comments section.
