Microsoft job posting hints Windows Blue

We have previously seen that Microsoft is working on a new Windows and Phone client with the codename Blue that will offer yearly updates on regular bases. Microsoft was (and is) planning to standardize on an approach across Windows and Windows Phone in an effort to provide more regular updates to consumers.

Now, in one of the latest job posting by Microsoft we have seen evidence of Windows Blue again. The job posting says,

We’re looking for an excellent, experienced SDET to join the Core Experience team in Windows Sustained Engineering (WinSE). The Core Experience features are the centerpiece of the new Windows UI, representing most of what customers touch and see in the OS, including: the start screen; application lifecycle; windowing; and personalization. Windows Blue promises to build and improve upon these aspects of the OS, enhancing ease of use and the overall user experience on devices and PCs worldwide.

This is the only mention in the job posting about Windows Blue, but we can see more about it. It hints that, it is more about the UI and how the customers use it instead of under-the-hood changes. We’re expecting to see Windows Blue debut in mid-2013, so we know soon how successful the new OS is at smoothing out any of Windows’ rough edges.

Another job listing suggest that Windows Blue coming to Windows Phone with codename Windows Phone Blue. We alse think that this is another step by Microsoft to unify the two platform, this will be great for it.
