Google Plus & Gmail disturbed temporarily

According to some reports, Google Plus was unavailable for some users for a few hours. Besides this, the popular Email service Gmail also was down for sometime.

The Social Network, Google Plus was reported to be down for some users across the world according to TheVerge. It was confirmed by a Google spokesperson that some Google services were experiencing issues. This is what was said by the spokesperson

The issue should be resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and continued support. Please rest assured that system reliability is a top priority at Google, and we are making continuous improvements to make our systems better.”

Google Mail (popularly known as Gmail) too was experiencing issues yesterday, pertaining to login, when using Single Sign-On Authentication. Apps Status Dashboard, the platform where the Google provides the user with the list of Service Disruptions elaborated upon the service disruption on Gmail.

We’re investigating reports of an issue with Google Mail. We will provide more information shortly. Affected users are unable to login to Google Mail when using Single Sign-On Authentication.

A few hours later, Google provided that while it is still investigating on the problem, those affected can access the service by first logging into Google Drive and then clicking the ‘Gmail’ tab at the top of the page. Google’s last update says,
