Vine – Twitter's new video sharing app

Twitter lately introduced Vine, its new video-sharing app that lets users capture short looping videos.

Today we’re launching Vine, a new mobile service that lets you create and share beautiful, short looping videos. With Vine, capturing life in motion is fun and easy. ~ Vine’s Blog

Vine also announced that they were being acquired by Twitter. But still, they are not a Twitter-only thing. You don’t need a Twitter account to access Vine, though possessing a Twitter account makes using it much faster. Vine can even connect to Facebook. When you open up the app, you’ll find options to Login using your Social accounts, or using the Email route.

Vine’s interface is really simple and enjoyable to use. When you visit the app for the first time, you’ll find a reel of Vines (videos created using the app). If you don’t have any followers, you’ll be able to see the Editor’s Picks

Apart from the amazing video-sharing system, Vine lets you record your own videos by pressing down your finger on the screen. To pause you need to lift up, which allows you to create a mini-narrative of the scenes.

The clipping and rendering part is managed by Vine, compiling a short, six-second movie. This looks rather like a GIF animation with audio effects.

Due to its ease of use, Vine is being called “the Instagram of video”, since it helps make entertaining videos with much simplicity.

Vine is available on the App Store for free.
