Since its debut last September, Android One has flaunted some incredible phones with some incredible designs. Though they were great, but the Lava Pixel V1 will leave them in splits. Combining decent midrange specifications with a sleek glass and metal form factor the phone may become the next buy for many. Lava Pixel V1 will make its debut in India on July 29, priced at ₹11,349 (~ $177).
The Pixel V1 is Lava’s first try to the Android One ecosystem. It packs an edge-to-edge 5.5-inch 720p display, a 64-bit class 1.3 GHz Qualcomm quad-core (ARM Cortex-A53 ) CPU, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage that’s expandable via the microSD card slot. The handset also boasts a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 3G connectivity with dual SIM-card slots, and a 2,650mAh battery. The Pixel V1 comes with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop pre-installed.
Those are impressive specifications for an Android One device, but the Pixel V1’s design is its real selling point. Its display is covered in DragonTrail Glass by Asahi. The device features an earpiece, light sensor and a front camera on its front. Besides that, the device doesn’t feature any physical buttons on its front. The rear side of the phone is covered with a removable metal back panel. The back also houses a camera with flash, loud speaker and Lava branding.
