Yu Yureka to go on Sale Without Registration on 6th & 7th May

News

The Yu Yureka has been one of the most successful phones of this year. The popularity for this device managed to put a ding in sale of other competitors like Motorola and Xiaomi. YU Televentures today announced that the device will be available on 6th and 7th May to the masses without any registration requirements. Just like the previous sales the device will be available on Amazon and can be picked up with other accessories they have on sale.

The Yu Yureka has been highly popular for the hardware it provided at a low price. The Yureka is also the only phone in India to come with official Cyanogen OS support thanks to an exclusivity contract between Micromax and CM. The Yureka has also got an update to Android 5.0 and is running Cyanogen OS 12. For those unaware, Yu is launching another model – The Yu Yuphoria on 12th May. The Yu Yureka sale might be a way to clear all the stocks before the introduction of the new model. For those who want to pick up the Yureka, the upcoming sale seems to be the right time.

The Yureka is a big device with a 5.5 inch display and a 1280×720 pixel resolution. The highlight of the entire package is the Octa Core Snapdragon 615 processor. This is the cheapest device to sport the 64 bit chipset and run Android Lollipop making optimum use of it. To keep all the processes smooth sailing the device also has 2GB of RAM. Imaging is handled by a 13 megapixel Sony camera which is quite impressive. The Yureka also sports a 5 megapixel front facing camera for selfies and video calling. In terms of storage the device has 16GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot that accepts cards up to 64GB. The other device to come really close is the recently announced Xiaomi Mi 4i which is priced higher at Rs. 12,999. So, at this point the Yu Yureka definitely looks like a steal.
