YU Televentures, which is a fully owned subsidiary of Micromax, was able to create quite a hype when it launched Yureka in India with exclusive partnership with Cyanogen. Since then, Yureka has received some great response from the consumers. The company has already been sharing teasers for it’s new smartphone as Project Caesar.
Today, YU finally announced the launch date of it’s next smartphone, YUphoria, via their social handles. Yu previously ran a contest on their website as well as social handles for naming the new phone, out of the several entries they received, YUphoria was chosen as the name for the upcoming smartphone.

YU was already mocking other popular companies like Mi (Xiaomi) on their social platforms which also included some teasers. The new smartphone is expected to beat the sales records of Yureka. No specifications are available about the new smartphone but we expect it to pack a 64-bit processor along with Android Lollipop based Cyanogen OS 12 with at least 2GB of RAM and 16GB onboard storage with microSD expansion slot.
Any information about the availability, specifications and pricing details are still under the wraps. Stay tuned on Virtuaniz to know more as it unveils on May 12.
