Xiaomi no longer Flipkart exclusive; Brings offers for 5th Birthday

Xiaomi just turned 5 years old, and to celebrate this milestone Mi India is announcing exciting offers for Mi Fans in India. Mi Fan Festival is coming to India for the first time ever to celebrate its 5th birthday. Xiaomi CEO and founder Lei Jun announced last friday that Mi Fan Festival 2015 will be held on April 8.

All the offers from Mi India will start on April 8 at 12 noon, and will last till midnight. The following offers were announced:

  • Mi 4 (one day only): Get Rs. 2,000 off on any Mi 4 purchased on April 8. Mi 4 (16GB) will be available for Rs. 17,999 (usually priced at Rs. 19,999) and Mi 4 (64GB) will go for Rs. 21,999 (usually priced at Rs. 23,999).
  • Redmi Note 4G (one day only): Receive a free set of Mi In-ear Headphones for any Redmi Note 4G purchased from online partners – Flipkart, Snapdeal and Amazon. Get a 5200 mAh Mi Power Bank free for any Redmi Note 4G purchased from offline partners – Airtel and The Mobile Store.
  • Redmi 2: Redmi 2 will be available across all partners – Flipkart, Snapdeal, Amazon and The Mobile Store as an open sale.
  • Mi Pad is back: Purchase the popular Mi Pad across all online partners – Flipkart, Snapdeal, and Amazon with no registrations.

Along with the offers, Mi India also announced that it will no longer be a Flipkart Exclusive brand, and all it’s products will also be available on Amazon India and Snapdeal as well. Xiaomi also announced that it will be selling its products in offline stores, partnering with Airtel and The Mobile Store.

Xiaomi is getting strong in India since entering the market in 2014, and now holds 4% market share as of Q4 2014.
