Gionee is all set to launch their next flagship device, the Elife S7 in India. The 5.2 inches and 5.5mm thin phone comes with latest version of Android, i.e., Android Lollipop 5.0 and even supports 4G LTE. On the technical front, the smartphone flaunts 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory and an octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz. Gionee’s presentation talks about the relation between Online and Offline markets.
Mr. William Lu explaining everything about Internet of Things, and what it has to do with smartphones.
Smartphone industry will never be dominated by one or two enterprises.
“Hardware is the skeleton, software is the soul and branding will make our customers loyal” says William Lu.
“Product Philosophy: Concentrate only on the user experience.”
Extreme design, Long standy, stable, simple and smooth OS is what is DNA of Gionee’s products.
E series of the Gionee is about amateur photographers and flagship hardware.
Side note: E8 will be soon coming to India later this year.
Gionee’s M series is all about super long standby. But the team doesn’t seem to be happy with how it is performing in the market.
P series focuses on cheaper and economical devices.
Gionee will now announce less than 12 products a year, majority of which will be LTE based.
Gionee places India in the ‘Competitive turbulence’ state, while the China occupies the stable state.
“Gionee today will have 1200 engineers, of which 70% are software engineers” says President, William Lu.
In the year 2014, Gionee achieved a target of selling 28 million products. And for the year 2015, Gionee focuses on 40 million products!
Gionee will invest for Research and Development in India and hence will be contributing to ‘Make in India’.
For the year 2015, Gionee’s primary focus will be on growing and extending the brand to every single part of the country with its strong product support.

2013-14: 500 crores, 2014-15: 2750 crores! That’s 550% of growth of Gionee in India.
Indian operating in India will be more than $1 Billion by 2016, promises Arvind to William.
37,92,958 are the import figures for Gionee in the period of May 2014 to April 2015.
“All that has been possible for the two basic pillars we had, product (quality control) and Market (MOP control).
“All the phones costing over $120 will be 4G enabled,” says Arvind Vohra.
Besides being slim, the phone needs to have a lot of other features.

With the 2700mAh battery, Gionee has worked on the power consumption.
Dynamic cooling, polar cooling and 13 layers of heat radiating material will make your phone cooler.
“We are not Tim Cook followers, but we are Steve Jobs followers,” says Arvind Vohra.
The improved camera technology, with the thinnest 13MP camera module, will be available on all its phones, and not just the high end models.

On the connectivity front, the S7 comes with dual LTE support and also has a multi-mode, which will help us while we roam in area with different LTE bands.
Amigo now has a total of 40 Million users, with 16 Million of regular users.

So the Gionee Elife S7 is the World’s slimmest LTE phone with dual support.
At the MWC, the Gionee Elife S7 was price at 399 Euros, but for India it will be priced at Rs. 24,999!
