Cyanogen Powered Micromax YU Phone to come with Snapdragon 615 Processor

Gadgets New Releases News

In the recent times, we have been learning about the new mobile device which will be manufactured by Micromax called the ‘YU’. This device has been announced to compete in the economical devices section, head-to-head with brands such as Xiaomi and OnePlus. We all know that the OnePlus One and the rest of the Xiaomi devices feature the best specifications in the market at a very economical price, so this can be confirmed that Micromax has something better to offer than the rest of the current smartphones, at a much lower price.

Meanwhile, Micromax has already started sending the invites to the press for the event which shall be held in the major cities following the main event on December 18, 2014. But what remained intact as of now was what the device offers and at what price will it be available for. The confirmations from our sources have indicated that the first smartphone in the series will come with a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 SoC, which makes it quite special – since the device comes at a price which is quite unexpected. The smartphone will cost between 11,000 and 13,000 INR which makes it affordable.

We have been noticing several teasers on the YUplaygod Facebook page, like the enhanced security, better sound performance etc. but it would be a mystery to see how the device perform with the CyanogenMod running on the Micromax device. A good news for the public is that they will also be able to enjoy the livestream of the launch event on the web, confirms our source. We shall be coming up with our first impressions and review about the device very soon, stay tuned!
