Sony’s Xperia Z Tablet launched in India – Overview

Yes, the Sony’s lightest, thinnest, water-proof Android 4.1.2 tablet had now been officially launched today in India. Ofcourse, we had seen the tablet in the Mobile World Congress.

The 10.1 inched Sony Xperia Z tablet is 6.9 mm tablet is said to be the world’s thinnest tablet. The tablet sports a 10.1 inched 1080p display with Sony’s mobile Bravia Engine. The device is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and coupled with 2 GB of RAM and 16/32 GB of internal storage.

The Sony Xperia Z features two cameras. An 8.1MP rear camera with ExmorR for mobile sensor and a front facing 2.2MP camera for video chats. The source for this tablet weighs massive, 6000 mAh battery.

The 32GB tablet is available in Black and White back covers, but the 16GB one is only available with Black back. The Sony Xperia Tablet Z is priced at Rs. 46999. As an introductory offer, Sony India is also offering the Xperia Tablet Z with a free 16GB microSD card, a premium case worth Rs 2,990.
