At the D11, Motorola’s CEO, Dennis Woodside confirmed that the company is indeed working on their flagship device and will be called the Moto X. The smartphone will be made in the US and will have a OLED screen.
“We know when it’s in your pocket, we know when it’s in your hand, it’s going to know when you want to take a picture and fire up the cameras” – Dennis Woodside, Motorola CEO
It will be built in Texas in a place where Nokia used to manufacture their devices. Woodside is very proud saying that Moto X will be the first smartphone built in the United States. It’s a fact that it will not be entirely built in the US but some parts will come from Taiwan, Korea, and elsewhere.
There will be some for devices being released with the Moto X on a ‘handful’ of carriers in the US.
Motorola, later, finally made an official press release stating Moto X. The press release just highlighting the fact that it is built in the United States instead of writing about the device.
