Sometime back, we had seen some leaked images of a Micromax device, then called “Canvas 3D”. Then, we didn’t have any information about the device and today we are here with the Micromax’s announcement of there new smartphone.
The popular Indian smartphone manufacturer, Micromax has launched its first smartphone featuring a 3D screen, named Canvas 3D and code-named A115. This device has been very cleverly priced for Rs 9,999.. According to the company, the technology required to convert standard images into 3D format has been embedded into this smartphone and this doesn’t require any specific device, such as 3D glasses.
The all new dual-sim Canvas 3D device sports a 5-inch display and runs on the latest version of Android, i.e., Android v4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). This smartphone runs on a 1GHz dual-core processor. The company has not revealed any information on the RAM, Internal Storage and the Graphics. This smartphone can support upto 32GB memory card for external storage.
Coming on to the major question- Camera. The device has a 5MP rear camera and a VGA camera in the front for video calls. Camera resolution- 1920 x 2560. The 2,000mAh battery of this smartphone offers talk time of up to 4.5 hours.
The manufacturer has included access to Micromax 3D Space, which is the hub to all the supported 3D videos and games. This phone will be available in the market from the first week of May as well as on the company’s website.
We’ll soon come up with a comparison with other 3D smartphones currently available in the market, like the LG Optimus 3D, priced at Rs 26,400.
