Twitter is reported to be working on a Two-Factor Authentication, following others including Microsoft and Apple. Wired reports that Twitter is currently checking the new security system before making it public.
This is being done after The Associate Press’ Twitter account was hijacked and fake news about explosions in the White House had been posted. Not only this we have had seen many such activities on Twitter in the recent times.
So, what this Two-factor Authentication is?
It is simply a procedure that will double check the user’s identity. You might require an access to a mobile device on which a unique code will be sent that you’ll require to enter while logging into your account.
Though, we don’t have any confirmations about the new security check, but it is estimated to be live very soon. Twitter declined to comment on this story.
