Your next smartphone screen might be made of Sapphire

Sapphire, a hard mineral is predicted to be used for making the screen of the upcoming smartphones. This would make the screen both scratch-resistant & crack-resistant, even when thrown on a concrete surface.
Graphite is currently the second hardest mineral on Earth (Hardest: Diamond), but diamond shall cost 10 times more than Graphite. It is also believed that the price of Graphite will fall in the coming times, making it easy for manufacturers.

But, the manufacturers think that this will be able to create a screen three to four times harder than the Gorilla Glass display.

Well, we will have to wait before confirming any other information regarding this. Hoping to see Sapphire screen soon.
