Overview: Sony Xperia Z and Xperia ZL

Sony announced its two new smartphones, namely Xperia Z and Xperia ZL in India earlier today. The Company has a lot of expectations from these two flagships. These phones will be available in stores after 12th March 2013.

Similarity

Both of the smartphones have similar specifications and will run on the Andorid OS Jellybean v4.1.2. They are powered by a Quad Core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The phones also have Adreno 320 GPU to satisfy your gaming needs. Both the phones will feature a 5 inch display screen with a resolution of 1080 X 1920 paired with Sony’s native Bravia Engine 2.

Comparison

Sony Xperia Z houses a 2330 mAH battery whereas Sony Xperia ZL houses a slightly higher 2370mAH battery. Unfortunately, both the phones have non removable back panel. But the major advantage of Xperia Z over Xperia ZL is that it has water proof as well dust proof body. Sony Xperia Z is IP57 certified, i.e, that the phone can be immersed in 1 metre deep water for 30 minutes.
Even Xperia ZL has some features in its pockets, which include the IR Blaster and one-touch mirroring. Another unique feature of the Xperia ZL is the placement of front camera below the display.
