LG’s Optimus G Pro has been confirmed by a leaked spreadsheet. The successor to last years’ Optimus G will be battling it out with the Galaxy SIV, HTC M7, and Xperia Z for market leadership this year.
It comes with a 5.5″ 1080×1920 Full HD IPS-LCD screen. Impressed? Hang on. LG also throws in a 1.7 GHz quad-core Snapdragon with LTE radio, 2 GB of RAM, 13 MP rear camera and 2 MP front one capable of 1080 video. Still not enough for you? Well, you also get a giant 3140 mAh battery, a whopping 32GB of internal memory, and a card slot for external memory expandable to 64GB. Is there something they didn’t put in this thing?
Apparently not, since it also comes with HDMI and RGB out. We’ll wait for the upcoming announcement to bring you more information, but this thing is absolutely packed. The only thing they didn’t put in is a TV tuner and a PS3.
On the other hand, a phone with these specifications will cost an arm and a half, and with no contract system in India, should be well above the Rs.40,000 range. Not very affordable, but the pure power of this phone cannot be matched. LG has gone all out, declaring it’s intent to beat Samsung’s next Galaxy flagship. And with these internals, it might just stand a chance.
